I really enjoyed watching this video! I’m a big fan of many pro-democracy channels and watch regularly.
This was the first time however, that the information I was receiving was being delivered by two fellow Latinas.
Hearing the conversation between the two of you, hit differently because it is evident that two of you are experiencing as Adelys mentioned the fear, the terror, the despair, the uncertainty that I am also experiencing and I am a US citizen from Chicago.
Also, as Sylvia mentioned, I am aware of my privilege of passing especially because of my white last name due to a name change after marriage. While I certainly feel that I look unmistakably Latina, my fellow Latinos often tell me otherwise.
However, even if my appearance is somewhat ambiguous to most, I know full well that white people don’t look at me and think she’s one of us. I may not look Mexican to Latinos, but I certainly look ethnic to white people and that only makes me hold my head up higher when we visit my husband’s family in his hometown in rural Missouri.
It pains me to see and read about the treatment of my fellow humans and like Sylvia, I can easily fall in to a several day rabbit hole of being unable to get in to a positive state of mind.
Thank you for your perspective regarding finding the silver lining and always setting a future event to look forward to.
You both had me in tears on and off throughout the video. I hope to see Sylvia back on soon!

It is an ethnic cleansing
It is about cruelty.
It is full on ugly white supremacy.
I am outraged by the actions of our racist government.
The detainment camps are concentration camps. The must be destroyed.
I want the racist people deported.
We need our immigrants.
